BitMeter is a free bandwidth analyzing tool which reveals the download and upload speed of Internet connection graphically. Internet connection speed will be illustrated on a scrolling graph with different colors which represent upload and download speeds overtime, the statistics updates every second, and the current speeds also displayed numerically. It facilitates user to generate custom desktop alerts to discover when internet connection goes offline or if the net speed drops beyond a certain level.

Cons:
It takes over memory. It runs good enough with more than 1GB RAM.
